II Central European Forum

This Forum was organised on behalf of CEDR by the Hungarian Association of Agricultural Law (HAAL), the Faculty of Law of the University of Miskolc, the Ferenc Mádl Institute of Comparative Law and the Hungarian Academy of Sciences’ Miskolc Regional Committee. We are grateful also for the support of the Ministry of Agriculture of Hungary. The Forum discussed the current issues of agricultural law with the participation of the states of the Central European Region.

This aim of the Forum was to examine, on one hand, the transfer of holding between generations and the succession of agricultural holding/land, and on the other hand, land acquisition by legal persons. For more detail of the programme of the Forum, click on this link.

Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, it was impossible to hold the Forum in person as would be usual, but thanks to the great efforts of the Hungarian Association for Agricultural Law, the University of Miskolc and the Ferenc Mádl Institute of Comparative Law, the Forum took place in the form of a webinar hosted by the University and presided over by Prof. Dr. habil. János Ede Szilágyi, PhD, full professor, head of the Department of Agricultural and Labour Law, University of Miskolc and head of the Ferenc Mádl Institute of Comparative Law.
