On 24th March, 2026, The Finnish Agricultural Law Association organized a congress on the National Food Strategy and current issues regarding Food Law. The congress took place in Helsinki, Finland. It was hosted by Leena Lindberg, Partner in Krogerus Attorneys Ltd. In her presentation, Attorney Lindberg analysed the current issues in the field of food law, food market and competition law.
State Secretary in The Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry, Päivi Nerg, introduced the new Food Strategy of Finland. The strategy focuses on creating a sustainable, safe and profitable food system by 2040, branded as “ A land of happy food”. The strategy includes four main goals: profitability &fairness, security of supply, nature’s carrying capacity and food culture&wellbeing.
In addition to these excellent presentations, we had a lively discussion on the topic, including security of supply and food security
