The overarching subject of the Congress of Lille was “agriculture and competition”, with a focus on the application of competition law to the agricultural sector, as well as on national driving forces and legal impediments to agricultural competitive ability. The academic paper was developed in three commissions on the basis of national reports. The resulting conclusions and recommendations for the responsible authorities of the European Union, the member states and third countries, as well as to international organisations, were published. This volume documents the work done in the context of the Congress, including the general reports and the synthesis report.
